Matthew Bushell completed an MA in social work in 1999 and has worked as a social worker ever since, and as a Team Leader or Manager since 2003. Matt helped design and co-led the Kent County Council Autism Team for Adults 2012-2011. Within this role he advised the Department of Health on autism guidance and the British Association of Social Workers. Matt is also a researcher and has led research on autism and care leavers – focussing on enablement and empowerment, and supported a UK/EU project on peer support for autistic adults.
