About us

Sinclair-Strong Consultants Ltd has provided an independent mental health service in Kent since 2001 and was established by Dr Neil Sinclair & Dr Linda Strong. This husband and wife partnership began their careers in Perth, Western Australia before moving to England in 1996. As well as setting up an independent practice, they have both worked for the NHS, non-profit organisations, and government services in Australia and the UK.

Although SSC started as a psychology service, it expanded in 2018 to a multi-disciplinary mental health service, providing assessment and treatment services for people with autism. In 2019, the service further expanded to include Positive Behaviour Support, including PBS training and support with a dedicated PBS Lead and small team. The service has continued to grow, and now has several individual and standard NHS contracts.

The two Directors, Dr Neil Sinclair and Dr Linda Strong, have over 70 years experience in psychology provision between them, and are supported by a strong team of experienced Health Practitioners including Clinical and Forensic Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, a Speech and Language Therapist and Positive Behaviour Support practitioners.

Some of the complex work undertaken is also supported by a Service Manager and Case Manager, while the organisation also has a well-established Admin team consisting of a Business Manager, Information Communication Technology Manager and Office Manager.

Our services address a wide range of Mental health needs and are organised into teams for complex Autism, Autism assessment, Adult Mental Health, Community services for people with Intellectual Disability and Autism, Positive Behaviour Support and Consultation services (Assessments and reports, Training and Consultation).

Sinclair-Strong Consultants now has 28 employees and 3 affiliates and provides services at our Kings Hill Clinic near West Malling. In addition, we also provide an outreach service within our specialist services in Autism and Intellectual Disability to various locations in Kent and Medway.
