Dr Yianna Armosti
Dr Yianna Armosti (BSc Hons MSc DForenPsy CPsychol AFBPsS) qualified as a Forensic Psychologist in 2017 from the University of Birmingham and has over 9 years’ experience in conducting psychological assessments and contributing to the preparation of expert witness reports for Family Proceedings, Criminal Proceedings, Parole Hearings and Tribunals that relate to both young people and adults.
She has worked in private practice and has experience working in in-patient settings, including low and medium secure units. This has involved working with adolescents with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and in two specialised services for people with Intellectual Disabilities.
Yianna has experience in the assessment of risk and treatment plans for a range of clients and providing consultancy to a range of services based in East Midlands. This included high-risk offenders managed by Probation Services across Derbyshire, Leicestershire, and West Mercia, as part of Multi-agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) and the Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) Pathway.
In addition, Yianna has experience in teaching the module Forensic Risk Assessment as part of the MSc Forensic Psychology course, and supervising postgraduate thesis projects, in the University of Central Lancashire (Cyprus campus).
